BECKER COUNTY BOAT & WATER SAFETY PROGRAM :: One of the responsibilities of the Sheriff’s Office is Boat and Water Safety. The Becker County Sheriff’s Office has a Boat and Water Division where deputies are assigned to patrolling the many lakes of Becker County. Lake enthusiasts will see Sheriff’s boats and deputies on our lakes throughout the boating and fishing season from early May into September. Some of the observations the Boat and Water deputies will be looking for is unsafe or reckless boating behavior, proper registration of watercraft, and proper boating safety equipment. Our main goal is to promote responsible and safe boating so your boating experience in Becker County is more enjoyable! If you observe unsafe boating practices or other activity that needs to be addressed, please contact the Becker County Sheriff’s Office at 218-847-2661. Sheriff Todd Glander
